In 2004, founder Joe Valesko set out to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail but couldn’t find lightweight, functional gear. Determined to solve this, he began designing and sewing his own gear, testing it during his hike. Encouraged by fellow hikers, Joe started selling his designs online, and Zpacks was born. Today, Zpacks continues to create ultralight gear, crafted by experienced adventurers in West Melbourne, FL.

HOKA was born out of the unwavering belief that if you ignored the doubters,
brushed off the critics, and poured your heart into a wild idea, it was possible to create a shoe that let people fly down mountains. True. Next we pushed our pursuits forward —certain there was a way to design running shoes that could be remarkably kind to the human body and still be world-class fast. Also true. Today, we make gear for pro runners and first milers, ultra-marathoners and mountain roamers, neighborhood walkers and wild trail runners, that lets moving go beyond performance. Because every run is about more than just a run. It's about finding oneself.
Losing oneself. Movement is good magic. For all of us. And sharing it with as many people as possible is our whole reason for being. Come on, gear up.

Hiker Hunger Outfitters is a family owned, New England based outdoor gear company. We are defined and driven by our community: you.  We are hikers, campers, walkers, explorers, weekendadventurers, and all types of people that care about getting fresh air and staying active!
